We offer aluminium or timber frames, with clear glass panels. Our timber bi-folds offer the option to include an integrated Venetian blind, encased between two clear glass panels, giving you complete control over the light and privacy in your home. Our timber doors can be stained in our signature dark maple stain, while the aluminium Bona Vista frames are available in 4 popular contemporary finishes. External bi-fold doors are supplied as a complete unit, which includes the framework, hinges and hardware.

We have a Bona Vista range of aluminium bi-fold doors, with clear laminated glass, available in 4 different finish options: black, white, primrose or grey. Alternatively, the Panoramic range of Pacific Ash timber frames are available with clear Doors Plus SafeGlass, clear double glazing, or built in Venetians. Our timber bi-fold doors can be left raw, to be finished in the colour of your choice, or stained with our signature maple stain.

How do external bifold doors work?

Multiple door panels are hinged together, to fit your opening, and when you want to open your doors you simply fold the panels away to the left or right (or both). There is a main door that can be opened and closed on its own, for day to day coming and going, and when you want to open up the whole space you just unlatch the bolts and fold each panel smoothly along the track.

Can you replace a window with an external bifold door?

Yes, it is possible to replace a window with a bi-fold door, but there are several important factors to consider, such as ensuring that there is enough overhead support for the opening. We encourage our customers to contact a builder or handyman for any structural work that needs to be changed in the home.

How much do exterior bifold doors cost?

Our external bi-fold doors are made to measure, so we will provide you with an accurate quote once we have measured your space and understood your exact requirements. Whether you choose our solid timber bi-fold doors (Panoramic) or our aluminium frames (Bona Vista), the final cost will depend on how many panels you require to fit your space. This will depend on the size and material of your doors, and the number of panels you need to fit your opening. We will also have to consider whether new framework is required.
